La Liga: Barcelona sneakily headed from behind to beat the Real Sociedad in the best game of the season

La Liga: Barcelona rekindled their La Liga crown push on Wednesday when they returned back from a goal down to beat Real Sociedad from 2-1, to old time defender and goal scorer Jordi Alba claiming that it was the team’s “best game of the season”.
The win let Barca move six points off the top of the table where defeated Sociedad lost their place as leaders to be replaced by Atletico de Madrid.
However, Barca had its hard time getting this win. Sociedad in the past 25 years at Barcelona, without having a point, took the lead through Willian Jose within the 26th minute.
Jordi Alba International Spanish professional footballer, leveled this up four minutes later with Frenkie de Jong adding the second point just before the break.
“It was our best game of the season. We came into the game knowing very well what we had to do at that time,” said left-back Jordi Alba. “We all put so much pressure on them in the first half of the game.” Tonight I saw a very good Barca. We are happy with the attitude. We knew how to suffer. This has to give us more confidence for the rest of La Liga matches as there are so many games left.”
Barca coach Ronald Koeman played Under-siege in the team which last rendered a home point to Sociedad in the year 1995.
The Dutchman was in a great horror when Willian Jose scored with his right foot from close range after a Portu corner.
