Jyotiraditya Scindia, who was sworn in as a cabinet minister in the Narendra Modi cabinet on Wednesday, has got the Civil Aviation Ministry. His father Late Madhavrao Scindia has also held this post. In the year 1991, Madhavrao was made the Minister of Civil Aviation in the government of PV Narasimha Rao. However, he had to leave the post within a year due to a plane crash.
Jyotiraditya reached the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Thursday morning before taking charge of the ministry. At the party headquarters, Scindia said that he would make every effort to fulfill his responsibilities. He said that he will work as hard as a minister as he has been doing for the last 15-20 years.
