Along with the BJP leader, a total of 51 MLAs who won the elections on Bharatiya Janata Party ticket also reached the state. However, the total strength of the party in the assembly is 77. These MLAs submitted a memorandum to the Governor on the incidents of violence.

News of BJP leaders being in touch with TMC
Mukul Roy, who left TMC and joined BJP, has recently again joined with Mamta Banerjee. There are reports of some more Bharatiya Janata Party leaders being in touch with TMC. In such a situation, in view of all these situations, it is being said that it is possible that many BJP MLAs may soon become a part of Trinamool Congress. The BJP, however, is ruling out the possibility of any such rebellion. But the party did not react to the absence of MLAs who did not accompany Suvendu.
