Google Shopping launched in India: Google has announced the launch of its own shopping portal in India. Just named as Google Shopping, it’s more of an aggregator. This means that the site is also listed by all e-commerce retailers such as Flipkart, Amazon, Shopclues, Club Factory, Snapdeal and even less known people like Shein.
Google Shopping launched in India
‘Google Shopping launched in India’ allows users to filter through offers, review prices of multiple retailers, and find the products they are looking for.
For retailers, the company will offer its ‘Merchant Center’ in Hindi, which will give sellers a list of their products for Google Shopping without paying advertising campaigns.
Personalized experience will be available through various Google products – a shopping homepage, shopping tab on Google search, and Google Lens. Customers will be able to see trending products compared to prices using different categories, different deals, and new offers.
Google Shopping will be a connector between retailers and consumers, and the delivery of transactions and products will be handled by the trader.
Google said that its goal is to support the entire retail ecosystem – from shopping sites and big retailers to small local shops – by providing access to equipment, technology and scale to new digital economies.
Google will not have to pay any fees for Google Shopping to list their products, Google said.
Under the shopping tab in Google Search, users can search for products and see prices from many retailers. The ‘style search’ Option in Google lenses will allow clothes, Furniture, and Home Decoration by pointing the Lens app to their smartphone.
