Ship sunk in Mumbai: Fourth day of Navy’s rescue operation, 37 bodies recovered so far:- Due to the cyclonic storm ‘Tau Te’, the bodies of 37 sailors aboard a ship immersed in the sea (Barge-P 305) have been found. Late on Thursday, 11 bodies were brought from INS Kolkata to the coast of Mumbai. Today is the fourth day of the Navy’s operation and the rescue operation has been over 55 hours. INS Kochi is still involved in rescue operations at sea. 38 sailors are still missing among the waves of the sea. According to ONGC, there were 263 people on board. However, the figure was previously reported to be 273 from the Navy.

Search operation continues with the help of reconnaissance aircraft P-81

Naval aircraft and helicopters have flown for more than 60 hours to search for the missing sailors in the waves. The Navy is now taking the help of its reconnaissance aircraft P-81. Three P-81 aircraft are flying from Tamil Nadu airbase and are searching for sailors in the sea of ​​Mumbai. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the P-81 is capable of easily detecting every movement of the ocean depth by staying in the sky.

5 INS Ship engaged in rescue work

The ship sank in the area of ​​Diamond Oil Fields, about 88 km from Mumbai’s coastline. Therefore, the navy is keeping an eye on the area of ​​80 to 100 km. The help of 6 helicopters and 3 aircraft is being taken to continue the search from the sky. Apart from INS Kochi and Kolkata, INS Teg, INS Betwa and INS Beas are also searching for the missing people.

Earlier three other ships, 137 people were stranded on the GAL constructor, all of them have been rescued. 202 people are stranded on Barge SS-3 and 101 on Sagar Bhushan. According to the Navy, all these people are safe and have been provided with things like food and water.
