In the Supreme Court on Monday, Rajasthan’s academic session 2020-21, on the issue of school fees, the school administration and parents were given many instructions from the court. The Supreme Court on Monday directed Rajasthan’s 36,000 unaided private schools to charge 15 per cent less annual fees from students for the academic session 2020-21.

Non-payment of fees should not prevent any student from joining the class, either physically or physically, nor should their result be prevented.

The Supreme Court upheld the order of the Rajasthan High Court challenging the validity of the rule made under the Rajasthan Schools (Regulation of Fees) Act 2016 and the law relating to fixing fees in schools.

Fees will be paid by the students or parents in six equal instalments for the academic session 2020-21.

The Supreme Court said that if schools want to give more relaxation to their students then they can give it.

The Rajasthan High Court recently ruled that private schools should charge only 70 per cent of tuition fees. Private schools had reached the Supreme Court against this decision of the High Court and appealed for full fees. The decision of the Rajasthan High Court has been stayed by the Supreme Court, the court has also dismissed the petitions of the parents.
