On the other hand, a big disclosure was made on Thursday in the Congress Toolkit case. According to news agency ANI, sources have told that Delhi Police had questioned Twitter India MD Manish Maheshwari on May 31. This questioning was done by the special team of Delhi Police in Bengaluru on 31 May.

Earlier on May 25, the Special Cell of Delhi Police had sent a notice to Twitter regarding the investigation of the complaint lodged in the alleged Congress Toolkit case. In this, an explanation was sought from him for calling BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra’s tweet manipulative. Two police teams also reached Twitter’s office in Delhi’s Lado Sarai and Gurugram.

What is Toolkit Controversy

In fact, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra made a tweet on May 18, in which he accused the Congress of citing a toolkit. Patra had said that the Congress was using the toolkit to defame the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It has been prepared by the research team of Congress.

Patra claimed that many Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi also post on social media through this toolkit. Twitter termed the same tweet as ‘manipulated media’ and said that this claim is not factually correct.
