In fact, saints had protested against writing the name of Faizabad in the poster of Owaisi’s visit to Ayodhya. After the order of the police, the activists have now put up Ayodhya Chhapawa banners and hoardings in the Rudauli area instead of Faizabad. Owaisi will start his election campaign on Tuesday from the Rudauli area, which falls in the Ayodhya district.
Ahead of Owaisi’s visit, some hoardings bearing Faizabad’s name have been removed and posters with the name Ayodhya have been put in their place. Whereas in some hoardings, Ayodhya has been written by pasting stickers on Faizabad. On Owaisi’s visit to Ayodhya, the people of the Muslim community have warned him not to make any such speech that would hurt the Ganga-Jamuni culture of Ayodhya.
Ashfaq Hussain Zia, a former member of the Shia Waqf Board, has said, ‘Ayodhya is a city of Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb. It is the holy religious place of birth of Lord Rama. The people here will not tolerate anyone having a Talibani mentality. People come here to wash away their sins and become holy. Owaisi is coming to Ayodhya so it is a good thing. Ayodhya will bring a change in their mindset.
At the same time, Iqbal Ansari, who was the issuer of the Babri Masjid case, has also said, ‘Politics on Ayodhya should stop. Owaisi should refrain from making radical statements keeping in mind the brotherly relationship of both the communities here. Because the Hindus and Muslims here will not tolerate it.
Owaisi’s program in Ayodhya
As per the schedule, Owaisi will reach Rudauli on September 7 at around 2:00 PM. At 1:30, his party workers will welcome him at Seema Rani Mau in Ayodhya. Reaching Rudauli at 2:00 pm, he will do jiarat at the dargah of Sheikh Makhdoom Shah. He will inaugurate the AIMIM electoral office at the Bhelsar intersection by addressing the workers near the Rasulabad intersection.
