Major accident in Gurugram: Three-storey building collapsed due to heavy rain: five to six people- A three-storey building suddenly collapsed on Sunday evening in Khawaspur village on Pataudi Road in Gurugram. A cloud of dust covered the sky with a loud explosion caused by the collapse of the building. When the building collapsed, there was a stir in the surrounding areas. People first informed the police about the incident. Police reached the spot and immediately started the relief work. Later, teams of fire brigade, civil defense and NDRF also reached the spot for relief work and were engaged in the rescue till late night. During the rescue, after about five hours of effort, the teams pulled out a person from under the rubble at around 9.30 am. When the doctors present on the spot examined him, the person was breathing. Who was referred to the hospital for treatment. DCP Manesar Varun Singal said that four to five people are feared to be trapped under the debris due to the collapse of the building. Out of which one person has been taken out safely. After getting the information, Pataudi MLA Satyaprakash Jarawata also reached the spot. Till ten o’clock in the night, no death was confirmed by the administration.
According to the information received from the police, the name of the person who was taken out alive is Pradeep. The incident is said to have happened between 4.30 pm and 5:30 pm. Police said that a transport company had a warehouse here. With which this building was built. There were around five to six people in this building when the incident took place. The rescue operations were engaged in the rescue till ten o’clock in the night. Even after five hours of effort, only one person could be rescued safely. More than 100 personnel of relief rescue teams are engaged in the rescue on the spot.
The wall of the building had bowed before
Eyewitness Manish said that there was a sudden loud explosion around 4.30 pm. He was in a nearby building. Suddenly a cloud of dust covered the sky. Meenish told that even before this the wall of the building had tilted to one side once in the rain. After which it was repaired and rectified. Manish told that stone was made on the ground floor of the building. Whereas the employees lived on the top two malls. Manish said that after the incident, the sounds of screaming and shouting of people buried under the debris were also coming. After the incident, people from nearby villages also reached the spot.
Eight ambulances put on the spot
As soon as the information was received, the Health Department’s doctor and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Virendra Yadav also reached the spot. Eight ambulances of the health department have been deployed at the accident site. CMO Dr. Virendra Yadav said that the person who was rescued alive was sent to Pataudi Government Hospital for first aid. The CMO said that those who come out in critical condition will be referred to Gurugram.
District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Yash Garg said, as soon as the incident came to light, teams were immediately sent to the spot for relief and rescue work. Ambulances and doctors are on the spot. Relief and rescue operations are being carried out. Local and district administration teams have reached the spot for rescue work and rescue work has been started on a war footing. Relief teams are engaged in rescuing the workers. One person has also been pulled out alive.
