The three Divorce Bill (2018) has passed by the Lok Sabha. Now it will be introduced in the Rajya Sabha for approval. Only after this can the law take shape. Of the 256 MPs present in the House, 245 members voted in favor of this, while 11 members voted against it. With this, three amendments of Asaduddin Owaisi in the House also fell. Congress and AIADMK walkout in protest against this bill and were not present during voting. Simultaneously, members of the Samajwadi Party did not participate in voting. All amendments brought against this bill fell in the House. Earlier, in December 2017, three divorced bills were cleared from the Lok Sabha but it had fallen in the Rajya Sabha. After this, the government had to bring an ordinance on three divorces. Now the Government once again revised the bill in the lower house.
