Delhi Police has arrested 6 including the organizer of the program Ashwini Upadhyay in the inflammatory speech case. According to Deepak Yadav, DCP of Delhi Police, 6 people, including senior Supreme Court lawyer Ashwini Upadhyay, are being questioned in this case. All these are being questioned at Chanakyapuri police station. Let us tell you that all these accused were taken into custody by the police earlier, but in the afternoon, the Delhi Police has informed them that they have been officially arrested.

According to the information, apart from BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay, 5 others who have been detained in the anti-Muslim speech case include Deepak Singh, Vinod Sharma, Deepak Kumar, Vineet Bajpai and Preet Singh. In this case, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan has also complained to the police against Ashwini Upadhyay on Monday. Ashwini Upadhyay reached Connaught Place police station around 3 pm. He has said that I do not know those who raised the slogans. The video should be investigated and if found correct, strict action should be taken against the culprits.

In fact, in this case, Ashwini Upadhyay was called to the Connaught Palace police station on the late evening of Monday itself. Delhi Police was also conducting raids to arrest Ashwini Upadhyay and other identified people. It is believed that everyone can be arrested at any time.

Cases like this cannot be tolerated

It is worth noting that earlier, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan had tweeted against Ashwini Upadhyay after complaining to the police that the operatives who openly threatened to cut down a section in the country’s capital Delhi, just a short distance from the Parliament. By making a written complaint to the Commissioner of Police against NSA and UAPA, strict action has been demanded. Why is there a delay in the action despite the evidence coming to the fore?

Ashwini Upadhyay clarified

Ashwini Upadhyay clarified by writing a letter to the Police Commissioner. He wrote in his letter that August 15, August 8 is also a historic day. Quit India Movement was started on 8 August 1942. To commemorate the anniversary of this historic day, a small program was organized by Save India Foundation at Jantar Mantar on 8th August. Preet Singh is the President of the organization and Arvind Tyagi is its General Secretary. I am not an officer of this organization. It was not a political, social or religious event, but was organized to remember the historic Quit India Movement on 15 August. In this program, it was demanded from the government that before the 75th anniversary of independence (15 August 2022), a new law should be made by abolishing all English laws. RVS Mani, Firoz Bakht Ahmed, Lt Gen Vishnu Kant Chaturvedi, Gajendra Chauhan and I reached the stage at 11 am and the program ended at 12 o’clock as the crowd increased and we all left.

‘Does not know those who spread hysteria’

In the letter, Ashchini Upadhyay further wrote, ‘A video is going viral in social media in which a person is giving a frenzied speech. Some people are sharing this video on Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp by taking my name to defame me, while the people seen in the video neither I know nor have met any of them nor were they called. Was. I request you to direct to check the veracity of this video as well as the time and place of its making. If this video is true then take strict action against those involved in it and if it is untrue then take strict action against those who share it on social media. I request you to take necessary action to not share this video till the completion of investigation. Direct the registration of criminal defamation case against those who have associated my name with this video.
