The first consignment of the 2-DG, developed by DRDO, was released on 17 May amidst ongoing conflict in the country with the second wave of Kovid-19.
The emergency use of the 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG) drug on patients with moderate and severe symptoms of corona has been approved by the Drug Controller General of India (DGCI).
This drug reduces oxygen dependence
