It is also being reported that there has been a lot of damage due to the earthquake. Apart from this, earthquake tremors have also been reported in some areas of North Bengal and Bihar.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has confirmed the earthquake. He said that I pray for every citizen to be safe. Also, I appeal to all people to be safe. Updates are being taken from all the districts of the state.

According to information received from Kishanganj, earthquake tremors have been felt in many blocks of the district including the district headquarters. Please tell that earthquake tremors have also been reported from Teradhagach, Bahadurganj, Thakurganj, Dighalbank. At the same time, these tremors have also been felt in many blocks of the district including Triveniganj block of Supaul.

The magnitude of this earthquake that occurred at 7.51 am is being reported as 6.4 on the Richter scale and the epicenter of the earthquake is being reported as Sonitpur in Assam. The impact of the earthquake has been felt in North Bengal including Assam.
