In Karnataka, 14 days of complete lockdown has been announced amidst increasing cases of coronavirus infection. After the cabinet meeting, the lockdown was announced in the state by Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa (Bs Yediyurappa). The CM of Karnataka said that curfew will be imposed in the state from 9 am on Monday night for the next 14 days. He said that during this time, permission for essential services is allowed from 6 am to 10 am. Shops will be closed after 10 o’clock in the morning. CM said that public transport will be closed.

It was told that the Karnataka government has also allowed home delivery of liquor. With this, travel outside the state or within the state will not be allowed. Exemption will be given only in emergency cases, travel outside or within the state will be allowed. Instructions have been given that Deputy Commissioner should take strict steps to avoid the spread of Koviz-19.

According to Yeddyurappa – medical and essential services, manufacturing, construction, agro-horticulture sectors will be allowed. Chief Secretary P Ravi Kumar will issue guidelines regarding the lockdown till this evening.

CM BS Yeddyurappa said, “Corona infection is spreading rapidly in the state. This crisis has increased in Karnataka more than in Maharashtra and Delhi. We will give the Corona vaccine free of cost to all people above 18 years of age in government hospitals. Apart from this, the central government is giving free immunization to people above 45 years of age. ‘

In the second wave of Corona, which remained more or less still, cases are increasing rapidly in Karnataka. With 34 thousand new cases coming on Sunday, the total corona cases in the state have crossed 13.49 lakh. Apart from this, the figure of deaths has also been 14,426 deaths. Corona cases have seen a sharp increase, especially in Bengaluru. After Delhi, Bangalore is the city where corona cases are getting the fastest. The corona positivity rate in the state has reached close to 20 percent. It is clear that the crisis has deepened.
