Bihar Lockdown Extension: May 15 is the last day of lockdown in Bihar. Corona cases have started to decrease, but the daily number is still close to ten thousand. In such a situation, it is believed that the government can increase the lockdown further.
In the second wave of Corona, the Bihar government has put a lockdown since May 5 due to the High Court’s reprimand. Its duration is till May 15, that is, the day after tomorrow. Whether the government will open a lockdown, there is little scope for it. The reason is that the cases of corona have started to decrease, but the number of positives found daily is still around ten thousand. On the other hand, if we look at the number of dead, the daily figures are staying beyond 50.
Lockdown will increase in Bihar
Given this Surat-e-Hall, it is believed that the government will increase the lockdown. There are indications of this from the Bihar government officials, ministers and the Chief Minister himself, although no decision has been taken in this regard yet. The lockdown has proved to be of great help in stopping the uncontrollable pace of Corona in Bihar. The number of new infected has decreased after the lockdown. Recovery rates have increased as infection rates have decreased.
After weeks, the number of positives in Bihar is below ten thousand
After several weeks, on Wednesday, the number of newly infected people came down to 10,000. The recovery rate has improved by about 10 percent. A large section of businessmen and doctors are also in favor of advancing the lockdown. Just before the completion of the lockdown, the message issued by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is seen in this link.
Government asked for updates from all districts
The Bihar government has sought feedback from all districts regarding the impact of the lockdown and the need to carry it forward. It is expected that the government will get information about this from all the districts today. After this, a decision can be taken to extend the lockdown by 14 or 15 May. The lockdown will extend until May 31 or is under discussion for a week. However, more hope is to extend it for a week at the moment.
Opposition is also not in the mood for protest
BJP’s state president Sanjay Jaiswal, a key constituent of the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government in Bihar, had already demanded a lockdown. Therefore, the government hopes to get full support from the BJP in this decision. Even parties like Congress and RJD do not appear to be in a mood to oppose the decision.
The Chief Minister said on Wednesday that the situation is improving with the lockdown. Everyone needs more courage to get out of this odd situation. Bihar government minister Jiveesh Kumar has openly demanded the extension of the lockdown.
