3 Security personnel injured, 4 Terrorists Killed In J&K’s Pulwama- SRINAGAR, J&K: Four terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba have been killed in anti-terror campaign in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. In south Kashmir district, three security personnel were also injured in the operation. Srinagar’s Defence spokesman Col Rajesh Kalia said, “Four terrorists have been abolished in the Pulwama operation.” Police sources said the injured soldiers were taken to the hospital and their condition was told out of danger. Following special information about the presence of terrorists in the Lassipora area, the security personnel started operation overnight. As soon as the army encircled the hordes, they came to stop the terrorists from hiding. All four terrorists were killed in the ensuing encounter.

Four rifles and ammunition have been recovered from the encounter site. The anti-terrorism campaign comes a day after security personnel was injured in the grenade attack of militants in Pulwama town. A police official said that security personnel deployed on law and order duty had minor injuries in the grenade explosion. The security personnel extended the anti-terror operation in the valley after the terror attack in Pulwama on February 14, 2019. Forty soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed in the attack.
A police official said that the security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Lissipora area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir, which provided special information about the presence of terrorists. Last week, two Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) militants were killed and five Army personnel were injured in a pre-morning battle in Srinagar’s outskirts. A Jammu and Kashmir Police official said a cordon-and-search operation (CASO)was started in the early morning on Friday morning in Sutsoo Kalan area of Nowgam on the outskirts of Srinagar. During the search operation, the terrorists started firing on the search party by launching an encounter.
