Declare JeM Chief Masood Azhar As Global Terrorist

Declare JeM Chief Masood Azhar As Global Terrorist: The United States, United Kingdom, and France have moved a new resolution in the United Nations Security Council so that Pakistan-based terrorist group JeM chief Masood Azhar could be nominated as a global terrorist, a list that would allow him to visit the global travel ban, freeze assets and Arms will be subject to restrictions.

The latest proposal was taken by the three permanent veto-Wielding members of the 15-nation Security Council on Wednesday. To consider the new proposal submitted by the three members, the Security Council Prohibition Committee will have 10 working days.

Declare JeM Chief Masood Azhar As Global Terrorist

Proposal for listing Azhar as a global terrorist has been the fourth such bid in the United States in the last 10 years. In 2009, India passed a resolution to nominate Azhar, whose United Nations-Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) took responsibility for the suicide attack against Indian security forces in Pulwama on February 14, with more than 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers were killed.

Again, in 2016, India passed a resolution with P3 – the United States, United Kingdom, and France to ban the Azhar in the UN’s 1267 sanctions committee, the mastermind of the attack on the airbase at January 2016 in Pathankot…

In 2017, P3 nations again made a similar proposal. However, on all occasions, China, a permanent member of the Security Council, stopped the proposal of India to be adopted by the Approval Committee.

It is yet to be seen how China will vote on the proposal this time.

Pakistan’s closest allies China has continually blocked the steps by designing Azhar as a global terrorist by India and later by the United States, by continuing the technological hold by the 1267 Committee by the UK and France.

France considered the crucial rotating chairmanship of the United Nations Security Council in March. At least 40 CRPF Shouldiers were killed and many injured when one JeM suicide bomber attacked a vehicle carrying 100 kilograms of explosives in his bus in Pulwama district on 14th February in one of the most deadly terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. Under the 1267 sanctions committee of the United Nations Security Council, to support the proposal to list nominated terrorists along with Azhar and to ban the terrorist organizations operated by Pakistan-controlled terrorists, India reiterated its appeal to all members of the international community strongly.
