Amarullah Saleh was the chief of the country’s intelligence agency NDS before taking over as the Vice President of Afghanistan. Coming from the Tajik ethnic group, Amarulla had a sister. To trace Amarulla Saleh, his sister was captured and brutally tortured by Taliban terrorists. During this, Amarulla’s sister died. When Soviet forces entered Afghanistan in the 1990s, Saleh received arms training in Pakistan and fought under the leadership of Commander Ahmed Shah Masood, known as the Sher of Panjshir. After this, when the Taliban started spreading in Afghanistan, then under the leadership of Saleh Masood, he jumped into the war against the Taliban. After this, Saleh developed friendship with India. He got Ahmed Shah Masood to meet Indian officials and got help.
Saleh had exposed Pak-Taliban’s nefarious friendship
He was in charge of intelligence agencies and helped America during the US military campaign against the Taliban that began after the attack on America in 2001. In 2006, Saleh, during his tenure as the chief of the NDS, conducted a ground survey on the Taliban, who were constantly under attack. They found that these terrorists are active in Pakistan and attack from there. He gave his study the form of a report. It was named ‘Taliban Strategy’. In it, Saleh’s team wrote that the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI decided to support the Taliban in 2005 and provided cash and money. Meanwhile, the Hamid Karzai government of Afghanistan started considering India as its friend, which provoked Pakistan. After this, Pakistan started rearing the Taliban. Saleh’s report said the Taliban would attack when US-NATO forces were reduced.
Good relations of Saleh with India’s intelligence agency RAW, CIA
Saleh’s report proved to be true, today the Taliban with the help of ISI has captured the whole of Afghanistan after 20 years. Karzai is said to have been furious at Saleh’s report and rejected Saleh’s findings. However, Saleh later became the country’s vice-president. Saleh has also been trained by the US intelligence agency CIA. Saleh has created such a network of his spies that helps him to keep an eye on the activities of Taliban and ISI from Afghanistan to Pakistan. It is said that Saleh has good relations with the Indian intelligence agency RAW. Because of this friendship of Saleh, Pakistanis hate him. Saleh has clashed with General Musharraf and General Kayani
Being the biggest enemy of Taliban, Saleh was always a target of ISI and terrorists. There have been several horrific fatal attacks on Saleh including September 2020. The NDS, led by Saleh, discovered in 2004 that Osama bin Laden lived in a residential area in Pakistan. Saleh declares himself the President of Afghanistan
Amrullah Saleh has declared himself the President of Afghanistan after Ashraf Ghani fled the country. He also targeted US President Joe Biden, saying that arguing with him is useless now. Saleh also appealed to Afghan citizens like the Northern Alliance to stand up against the Taliban. Amrullah Saleh tweeted that according to the Constitution of Afghanistan, the Vice President becomes Acting President in the absence, escape, resignation or death of the President. In another tweet, he targeted the US, saying that now it is useless to argue with Joe Biden on Afghanistan.
