Stock Close: Sensex, Nifty closed with gains after heavy volatility; The rise in these shares

    Stock Close: Sensex, Nifty closed with gains after heavy volatility; The rise in these shares- Monday saw a lot of volatility in the domestic stock markets. After this, the 30-share BSE domestic index Sensex closed up 111.42 points, or 0.22 per cent, at the level of 50,651.90 points. Similarly, NSE Nifty closed at the level of 15,197.70 points with a gain of 22.40 points, or 0.15 per cent. The shares of IOC, BPCL, SBI, L&T and Axis Bank were the biggest bounce on the Nifty. On the other hand, the shares of Shree Cements, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Britannia Industries and Tata Consumer Products were the biggest losers.

    All other indices except FMCG and Metal closed with a green mark in the first trading session of the week. BSE Midcap and Smallcap also closed in the lead.

    These stocks rose on the Sensex

    SBI shares saw the maximum gain of 2.73 per cent on BSE Sensex. Similarly, L&T saw a jump of 1.74 per cent, Axis Bank’s stock 1.40 per cent, ITC’s share 1.17 per cent, Maruti’s stock 1.09 per cent and Dr Reddy’s stock 1.06 per cent.

    Apart from these, shares of Powergrid, HDFC, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Auto, Tech Mahindra, ONGC, HCL Tech, Sun Pharma, TCS and NTPC closed the green mark.

    These stocks closed with a fall

    On the other hand, Titan shares recorded the biggest decline. Besides, shares of IndusInd Bank, M&M, Hindustan Unilever Limited, Ultratech Cement, Bajaj Finzerv, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries, Nestle India, Bajaj Finance, Infosys, Asian Paints and Kotak Mahindra Bank closed with a red mark.

    Know the reason for the rise in the stock market

    Ajit Mishra, vice-president (research) at Religare Broking Ltd, said the stock market closed with a slight upside in the midst of a mixed trend. Trading within a range was seen in the major markets after the initial uptrend. Talking about sectoral index, even then there was mixed attitude. Where FMCG, metal and consumer durables declined. On the other hand, banks, capital goods, power and gas and oil sectors closed up.

    State of stock exchanges in other countries

    Stock markets closed with a green mark in Shanghai and Tokyo. On the other hand, the stock markets in Hong Kong and Seoul closed with a red mark. On the other hand, European markets saw gains in the afternoon session.
