Due to the second wave of Corona in 2021, CBSE 10th and 12th examinations had to be canceled. So the board has already prepared for the 2022 exam. According to CBSE, in view of the fear of the third wave of Corona, a special scheme (CBSE Special Scheme 2021-22) has been prepared for the 2022 board examination. Under this, class 10 and 12 are divided into two terms. Exams will be taken at the end of both the terms. Syllabus (CBSE Syllabus 2021) will also be different in both.
How will be the pattern of term-1 exam
At the end of the first term, the board will conduct the term-I exam. It will be taken between November-December 2021. Multiple choice questions will be asked. Case based MCQs and Assertion-reasoning type MCQs will also be asked. The test for each paper will be of 90 minutes. In this, questions will be asked from the syllabus of Term-1 only. That is, from 50% of the entire syllabus.
CBSE will send the question papers only. The exam will be held in the same school where the students are studying. But the external center superintendents and observers will be appointed by the CBSE board to monitor the exam.
Students will have to answer on OMR sheet. These will be scanned and uploaded on the CBSE portal. Or else the schools will upload their evaluation marks on the CBSE portal. The final decision on this will be communicated to the schools by the Board.
How will be the pattern of term-2 exam
Term-2 or year end exam will also be conducted by CBSE itself. The remaining 50% questions will be asked from the syllabus only. This exam will be taken between March-April 2022. The paper will be of 2 hours. Different types of questions will be asked in this. i.e. MCQs, Short Answer Type and Long Answer Type.
