Firecrackers will not burst in Delhi this time too- Kejriwal government banned the storage- The Delhi government has completely banned the storage, sale, and use of all types of firecrackers on Diwali this time as part of measures to control the increasing pollution in the winter season in the capital. Delhi Pollution: Kejriwal seeks time for discussion with Union Environment Minister

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Tuesday sought an appointment with Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav to discuss measures to control pollution in the capital. In this regard, the Secretary to the Environment Minister of Delhi has written a letter to the Private Secretary of the Union Minister.

Kejriwal had said on Monday that he would meet the Union environment minister along with the audit report of Pusa bio-decomposer and urge him to direct the states around Delhi to distribute it free of cost among farmers. Bio-decomposer is a kind of liquid that can convert straw into compost in 15-20 days. He had said that the use of Pusa Bio-Decomposer has been found to be very effective in an audit conducted by a central agency. The Delhi government used the liquid prepared by scientists of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute here last year.

Former Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar had said last year that Pusa bio-decomposer would be used in some areas of Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh and if the technology was successful, it would be expanded to more areas.

Farmers say that there is a short gap of 10-15 days between the harvesting of paddy and sowing of wheat and they burn stubble as it is an economical and time-saving way of managing the straw and preparing the field for the next crop. Is.
