Panchayat elections will be held in 57 blocks of 37 districts in the sixth phase. What did the Panchayati Raj Minister say?

Bihar’s Panchayati Raj Minister Samrat Chaudhary has said that the work of tap-water scheme will not be interrupted during the code of conduct. He said that after the notification is issued by the State Election Commission, the ongoing development works in the panchayats will be stopped. During the code of conduct, there will be no work on roads, streets or other schemes in the panchayats.

Election results within 72 hours

Panchayat elections will be conducted in 11 phases in Bihar and this time the counting of votes has to be done within 72 hours of the end of polling. It is not that the counting will take place after the end of voting of all the phases, rather the results will be released within the next two days of voting.
