    9 June 2021 Stock market latest news and business news today: Sensex falls by 333 points- ‘This is really a very important and high potential sector. I would say this sector has seen a lot of stress in the last five years. First because of demonetisation, then because of GST and then because of lockdown.     The government increased the MSP of Kharif crops

    Giving relief to the farmers, the government has increased the minimum support price for Kharif crops. The cabinet on Wednesday increased the MSP of paddy from Rs 1,868 per quintal in 2020-21 to Rs 1,940 per quintal in 2021-22. 25,000 crore will be spent on this.

    Agreement between IIFL Home Finance and Central Bank of India

    IIFL Home Finance, a subsidiary of IIFL Finance Limited, has announced to sign an MoU with the Central Bank of India. IIFL Home Finance expects to increase the loan book by 18% in the coming time from this agreement

    Yes Bank changed the interest rates available on FD (Fixed Deposit)

    Yes Bank has changed the interest rates available on its FDs. As per the new rates, the bank is offering 4 per cent interest on FDs from 15 days to 45 days and 5.75 per cent on FDs from 9 months to 1 year. These changes have come into effect from June 3.

    Diesel and petrol price hike

    On Wednesday, an increase was recorded in the rates of diesel and petrol (Today Diesel and Petrol Price). Petrol rate in Delhi increased by 25 paise per liter to Rs 95.56 per liter. At the same time, the rate of diesel increased by 25 paise per liter to Rs 86.47 per liter.

    Rise in the price of gold and silver

    After a continuous decline in the price of gold and silver, today again there was an increase. On Wednesday, June 9, the price of gold on MCX has increased by 0.10 percent. On the other hand, the price of silver rose 0.22 percent.

    There was an all-round sell-off in the domestic stock market today. The Sensex closed down 333 points at 51,941 points. It fluctuated 730 points during trading. Nifty also slipped 104 points to 15,635 points. There was strong selling in small and medium stocks too. Nifty’s mid cap index slipped 0.72% while small cap declined 1.35%.

    The market started strong on the third trading day of the week. Sensex opened up 126 points and Nifty 26 points. Nifty reached a new life time high of 15,800 points. However, profit-booking at higher levels could not sustain the momentum. During trading, the Nifty fell to 15,566 points with a sharp decline. The stock market did not get support from any sector. Nifty’s sector index fell as much as 0.23% from 2.10%. The biggest drop of 2.10% came in the media. There was also heavy selling in the stock index of realty, public sector banks and automobile companies.
