From June 1, while the government has decided to exempt partial corona curfew in the state, the corona curfew will still be applicable in 20 districts including Gorakhpur as before. As the number of active cases of corona infection in these districts is more than 600, the government has not given any precautionary relaxation here. In this regard, the faces of the people of the district, especially the business class, were hanged as soon as the order was issued by the government on Sunday afternoon. Everyone had made preparations for starting the business from June 1. Those working in shops and warehouses were also called.
According to the district administration, the arrangements made earlier for the lockdown will continue to be applicable. Apart from emergency services, only milk, vegetables and neighbourhood and street grocery shops will be open. They have to follow social distancing and masks completely. If there is a crowd anywhere, then action will be taken. Government offices will open with necessary conditions while private ones will remain completely closed.
The corona investigation will be carried out by campaigning in the villages. As before, the entire district will be guarded. If anyone is found roaming unnecessarily, the administration and police will deal with him strictly. No one is allowed to move out of the house. Health-related emergency and railway and airport traffic will be exempt only. Tickets of such people will also be checked. The administration assured that in the government’s lockdown, no one is facing any problem with the service, it will not go ahead. Milk, drug shops and hospitals will remain open as before.
Gorakhpur is also expected to get relief this week
The way the number of active cases is decreasing, soon Gorakhpur is also expected to be exempted from the corona curfew. By May 29, the number of active cases in the district had come down to 1910. It is expected to decrease further on Sunday. The number of active cases is decreasing from 200 to 400 daily. In such a situation, it is believed that this number will also fall below 600 in the district in four to five days, which will also clear the way for exemption from Corona curfew here.
LPG will be home delivery, petrol pumps will be open
LPG agencies and godowns will also be open during the lockdown, but no agency operator will distribute gas cylinders from the agency. All have to make home delivery. The hawker or employee of the agencies will not be stopped. All petrol pumps will remain open there.
If you go to catch a train and a plane, keep the ticket nearby
Corona curfew will still be applicable in Gorakhpur, in such a situation, keep a train or plane ticket on your way out of the house for the journey. According to DM, the railway traffic will continue as before. Passengers to and from trains and airports will also be able to travel easily. They just have to keep the ticket pass.
Freight vehicles will ply on the roads
There will be no restriction on the movement of cargo vehicles. Transportation will continue on national and state routes. Petrol pumps and dhabas located on the highway will remain open. Apart from this, no one will be able to walk on the highway to the limits of the city or district, except for vehicles carrying goods connected with the essential services and those coming and going from their vehicles for emergency treatment.
Sanitization will be done from the city to the villages
There will also be no restriction on the movement of officers and employees associated with sanitation and sanitization during the lockdown. The medical screening and surveillance campaign of all the members living in each household through the Covid-19 / Communicable Disease Surveillance Team on behalf of the Health Department will continue uninterrupted. The Municipal Corporation in the city and the District Panchayat Raj Department in the villages will carry out cleanliness and sanitization under a special campaign.
Fourlane-major construction work will continue
The DM said that as per the instructions of the government, the construction work of all roads, bridges and buildings including Gorakhpur-Varanasi Fourlane, Jungle Kauria-Mohaddipur, Asuran-Maharajganj, Deoria Fourlane will continue as before.
Awareness program will be conducted
Awareness program will be conducted in every public place such as hospitals, medical colleges, industrial establishments, intersections, etc., through the public address system by the district administration and the police and the municipal bodies, to protect against Covid-19 and communicable diseases.
Weddings can be done with Covid protocol, card will have to be kept
During the lockdown, those who already have a wedding date set will be able to hold the ceremony with the Covid protocol. Only 25 people will be allowed to attend. It will be mandatory to apply mask. Physical distance will also have to be followed. Sanitiser should also be arranged. Those who go to attend the wedding ceremony will have to keep the wedding card and ID with them. It may be investigated on the way.
Online home delivery of essential goods will continue
Dairy and milk, animal feed, pharmaceuticals, medicines and medical equipment, ATMs during the lockdown. Print and electronic media will be able to move on displaying a valid I card. Employees offering telecommunications, internet services, broadcasting and cable services will also be able to come and go. Similarly, all the essential commodities including food, pharmaceuticals, medical devices will be distributed through e-commerce.
