Pappu Yadav Arrested: Court opened in midnight for Pappu Yadav in Madhepura: JAP supremo and former MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav was brought to Madhepura around 11 pm. He has been sent to jail after his appearance in the video conferencing.
This is the first time in Bihar me Lockdown that the court was opened and the hearing took place around midnight. This happened when Madhepura police reached the civil court from Patna with Pappu Yadav Arrested. At present, Pappu Yadav has been sent to jail.
Pappu Yadav in 14-day judicial custody
Jana Adhikar Party supremo and former MP Pappu Yadav has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days after his arrest. Earlier, he was under house arrest in Patna on Tuesday and then arrested. After his arrest from Patna, he was taken to Madhepura amidst heavy opposition from Pappu Yadav’s supporters. Pappu Yadav was brought to Madhepura court at around 10:50 pm with a convoy of more than 30 vehicles.
Madhepura Civil Court was opened at 11 pm for Pappu Yadav’s appearance.
Court staff reached his office from where Pappu was produced through video conferencing. During his appearance, he also referred to his illness in front of the court to demand better health facilities. A large number of police forces were deployed in and around Pappu Yadav’s muscle, yet hundreds of supporters were seen standing in the dark of the night.
Judicial Magistrate Surabhi Srivastava, through video conferencing, ordered the former MP to be remanded to jail and sent him to Birpur (Supaul) jail for 14 days judicial custody and also ordered for better treatment.
Pappu Yadav sent to jail at 12 o’clock at night
At around 12 o’clock in the night, the administration took him to Birpur Jail. Earlier, his supporters and party workers created a ruckus in protest against the arrest of JAP supremo Pappu Yadav. Police was taking Pappu Yadav from Gandhi Maidan police station to Madhepura, during which his party workers stopped the police convoy. A large number of party workers lay on the road on NH 19 and stopped the police vehicles.
Pappu’s allegation – BJP conspired to send him to jail
Speaking to the media in Madhepura, Pappu Yadav said that ‘I am being sent to jail under a deep conspiracy at the behest of the BJP, while I have helped Nitish Kumar only for the last one and a half months by saving people. I want to ask Nitish Kumar that in the matter which is pending in the High Court, what was the need of arrest during the Corona period in that case? ‘
