India’s veteran industrialist Gautam Adani has made a big announcement on Monday. The Adani Group has joined hands with the country’s largest e-commerce company Flipkart.
Flipkart and Adani Group will now work together on the logistics front in the country. During the digital world, this is a big deal between the increasing demand for e-commerce.
Gautam Adani, the head of the Adani Group, himself tweeted about it on Monday. Gautam Adani wrote, ‘The country’s e-commerce company Flipkart is now our new partner.
AdaniConneX will create data centers for Flipkart, as well as Adani Logistics will create 534000 square feet of center for Flipkart. This will generate thousands of jobs in Mumbai.
At the same time, according to the release released by Flipkart, the Adani Group will set up centers in Chennai and Mumbai for it. Through which the delivery system of Flipkart will be strengthened.
According to Flipkart, this agreement will generate about two and a half thousand direct jobs and millions of indirect jobs. These centers can be operational till the third quarter of the year 2022.
‘Supply chain will get strength’
Under this partnership, Adani Logistics Limited will build a 5.34 lakh sq ft warehouse at its upcoming logistics hub in Mumbai, which will be leased to Flipkart to meet the growing demand for e-commerce in Western India. The statement said that this center will be equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and it is expected to be operational in the third quarter of 2022. There will be a capacity to keep 1 crore units for sale here.
The company said that this partnership will strengthen Flipkart’s supply chain, help small and medium businesses and direct employment to 2,500 people and indirect employment in thousands.
