MG Hector Launched in India- MG Motors today launched its first car Hector in India. The company has kept the price of this car between Rs 12.18-16.88 lakhs. Delivery of this model will start from the first week of next month. Hector is the company’s first car in the country. The company plans to launch the battery-powered SUV ‘EZS’ this year.

Rajiv Chaba, Chairman and Managing Director of MG Motor India said that the booking for 10,000 vehicles has been done. He said, “Based on the level at which clients have booked without knowing the value, we can say that Hector has received a good response.” MG Motor has already invested Rs 2,200 crore in setting up a business in the country including setting up a manufacturing plant in Guwahati, Gujarat. The target of the company is to invest Rs 5,000 crore in the next four years.
The company had already started booking it at an amount of 50,000 rupees. Hector is a mid-size SUV. This will be MG Motors’s first internet car in India. The company will soon start sending the hector to its dealership.

The company has paid special attention to Hector’s design and features to attract customers’ attention. This will come with several segments first features. These include features such as 10.8-inch large touchscreen display system, e-SIM facility, internet connectivity and mobile remote control. This mobile remote control feature of Hector provides features like car sunroof and tailgate opening, door lock / unlock and AC on / off via mobile application.

MG Hector Launched in India
MG Hector is a mid-size SUV. According to cardekho.com, it will compete with the Tata Hahrer, Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500 and Hyundai Tucson in the Indian market. Hector will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. There will be a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine. This engine will come in both 6-speed manual (MT) and dual-clutch automatic (DCT) gearbox options. This petrol engine of Hector coming with the manual transmission will also be available with 48-volt mild-hybrid system. As a diesel unit, it will get a 2.0-liter engine. This engine will be available only with 6-speed manual transmission (MT).
