McDonald’s India Private Limited (MIPL) has decided to buy a stake in a joint venture company with Bakshi while compromising the court. Connaught Plaza Restaurants Limited (CPRL), a joint venture company with Bakshi, was running all these outlets. After this agreement, Bakshi will end the two-decades-old relationship with McDonald’s.

The company said that McDonald’s stores in Northern and Eastern India will be closed for some time. These stores were running Connaught Plaza Restaurants Limited (CPRL), a joint venture company with Bakshi. McDonald’s had earlier said that they are being discontinued for “operational protocol assessment and training of employee”. McDonald’s Asia Pacific Director (Corporate Relations) Barry Com said that the company is hoping to open these stores within a week or two.
MGM will buy 50% shares of Bakshi
McDonald’s Outlets are closed in North and East India- McDonald’s is now taking a full stake in CPRL so it will become subsidiary of it and its subsidiary McDonald’s Global Markets LLC (MGM). With the completion of this transaction, the settlement will be settled with Bakshi. Under this agreement, MGM will buy 50% of the shares of Bakshi in CPRL, which they had since becoming a company.
